What this is

basketballoutgoing is an independent editorial index of hotels, grouped into four categories: art hotels, capsule hotels, casino hotels and ice hotels. Each entry is a short written description of the property and what distinguishes it, written to be read rather than scanned.

How entries are chosen

Properties are included because they illustrate their category clearly, not because of any commercial arrangement. We describe buildings, plans and facilities in general terms and avoid claims that would need a source we cannot stand behind. There are no star ratings here, no user reviews and no scoring of any kind.

What we do not do

We do not take bookings, hold availability, process payments or act as an agent for any hotel. If you want to stay somewhere listed here, go to the hotel directly or to whichever booking service you normally use.

The sundial

The site is organised around a sundial face: four categories at four marked positions, with the gnomon line as a fixed reference. It is a reading device, nothing more — there is no ranking implied by which category sits where.
