The short version

This site collects as little as it can. We do not sell anything we hold, and we do not share it for advertising.

What is collected

Our host records standard server logs — IP address, browser and operating system, the page requested and the time of the request — which are used to keep the site running and to understand roughly how much traffic it gets. If you email us, we keep your message and address for as long as it takes to deal with it.

Cookies and analytics

The site does not require cookies to function. If aggregate analytics are used, they are configured to report visit counts rather than to build a profile of an individual reader.

Sharing and selling

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. Information is disclosed only where the law requires it, or to the technical provider that hosts the site so that it can serve pages.

Your choices

You can block or clear cookies in your browser, and you can ask us to delete any email correspondence we hold. Write to editor@basketballoutgoing.com and we will remove it.
